As a young boy the "spark" that started my interest in art was the cartoons that were in the Sunday newspapers.
I delighted in learning to draw all the many characters. During school time I would draw cartoons all day and my teacher disapproved, but used me for all the art projects. One day she introduced me to a lady who was an artist and it was arranged for me to come to her home to see her art studio. Instantly I was enamored with the environment and found out that she was Henry Ford's great granddaughter. From that moment on I was "hooked".
I am self taught and did considerable research through the years to learn techniques and many types of painting. Mainly, I painted representational art, which included still life, landscapes and portraits, always painting what I observed. I have sold artwork through Bass Pro Shops and painted many large decorative canvases for Guildmaster Inc., an import/export company. I have also facilitated many commisioned portraits and special pieces for clients.
In the last few years I have studied Quantum Physics, Metaphysics, and Spirituality, which led me to go into the realm of imagination to a more abstract and symbolic art. Now I reach within for inspiration and enjoy the freedom of expression. I use dreams, visions, and emotions to produce my paintings. My hope is to share this with as many people as possible.
